Hi, I’m Peter. I’m a registered building practitioner with 20 years of Victorian building and dispute resolution experience. My background spans senior management roles in commercial and residential construction, and property development, across both private and public sectors.
Outside of work, you’ll find me hiking the Dandenong Ranges with my wife and two sons, cheering on our local soccer club, Doncaster Rovers, or enjoying walks along Henley Beach.
Let’s talk.
Don’t just take our word for it.
Property owners, owners corporations, construction lawyers, insurers, builders, and government agencies across Victoria rely on our independent building assessments and reports.
Peter helped us navigate a council notice for an illegal addition on our recently purchased home. His involvement led to the building works being certified and the notice withdrawn. Couldn’t have asked for a better outcome.
Paul, South Yarra
Home owner
Engaged Peter on behalf of a client in a VCAT matter. His report was pivotal in securing a pre-hearing settlement. We’ll have no hesitation instructing him again.
Isabel, Hawthorn
Construction lawyer
Six months in and Peter has been outstanding. The committee genuinely values his regular updates and attention to detail — this project could have gone sideways without him. Looking forward to seeing it through to completion.
Suresh, Box Hill
Chairperson
Very happy with the service. Peter was thorough, easy to deal with and clearly knows his stuff. Would recommend.
Craig, Ringwood
Home owner
Wish I’d found Peter sooner. A previous ‘expert’ cost me a small fortune and delivered nothing. Peter’s practical advice and no-nonsense approach was exactly what I needed.
Martin, Seaford
Property investor
Peter managed our builder for the repair of balconies and terraces across our apartment building from initial scope through to final handover. Professional, knowledgeable and transparent throughout. Highly recommended.

Strata Manager
Which suburbs do you operate in?
We cover both metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. We also take on interstate assignments.
What are your response times?
We aim to inspect your building within 3 – 5 business days.
Do you conduct pre-purchase and pest inspections?
No — this falls outside our scope. If your matter involves building defects or compliance concerns, contact us to discuss.
Why choose an independent consultant?
We advocate for the evidence — not the builder, insurer or any other party. Our assessments are impartial, referenced to the NCC, Australian Standards and relevant legislation.
Are your reports accepted as expert evidence?
Yes. Our reports are structured and evidence-based, suitable for use in VCAT, courts and legal proceedings. Not all matters require court-compliant reporting — contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
Do you inspect both existing and new construction?
Yes. We inspect new builds at key construction stages and existing buildings. Early inspection of new works ensures compliance with codes and drawings before defects are concealed or remediation becomes costly.
What is a stage construction inspection?
Mandatory stage inspections are conducted by a licensed building surveyor at four key stages: foundations, slab reinforcement, framing and completion. These are compliance-focused and frequently miss defective workmanship.
Our inspections cover the same stages — plus waterproofing — and are specifically designed to identify defects while they’re still accessible and rectification is straightforward.
What are your fees?
Our rate is $330/hour (GST inclusive) for inspections and report writing. Fixed fee and time-based pricing is available depending on your requirements. Contact us for a scoped estimate.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfer and all major credit cards.
